UK HCID Network
In the UK, there are airborne and contact HCID networks commissioned to provide treatment for patients with confirmed HCID in England and Wales, undertake research and contribute to policy and clinical guideline development. There are several designated NHS HCID Treatment Centres across England which together provide adult and paediatric services across England and Wales.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is a UK government agency responsible for the encouragement, regulation and enforcement of workplace health, safety and welfare, and for research into occupational risks in Great Britain. The HSE have several roles in HCID including inspection of units and contribution towards policy and guideline development.
